Our Certified Recovery Gambling Mentors are currently offering the following groups:

Women’s Cognitive Behavior Therapy Skills Group

Wednesdays on Zoom from 7:00 - 8:00 pm for female-identifying individuals seeking tools to work on disordered gambling. Please contact us for zoom link and more information under the “Contact” tab.

SMART Recovery (Self Management And Recovery Training)

Sundays from 5:30 - 6:30 pm at True Colors: 3807 NE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd. Open to all individuals affected by compulsive behaviors including gambling, substance use, alcohol, and others. Facilitated by Brian Ward, CGRM.

In Person Cognitive Behavior Therapy Skills Group

Sundays from 6:30 - 7:30 pm at True Colors: 3807 NE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd. Find group support and build skills with other folks experiencing gambling related challenges. Facilitated by Brian Ward, CGRM.

VPGR’s Help, Opportunity, Perseverance, and Education (HOPE) Program

VPGR’s HOPE program offers free personalized recovery support from Certified Gambling Recovery Mentors to those who live in or are receiving gambling treatment in Multnomah County.

The HOPE program connects you with the resources, support, and fellowship to build your new life in recovery. HOPE is a valuable addition to professional treatment, recovery fellowships, faith-based counseling, or self-taught change.

Think of HOPE as your personal guide on your recovery journey—a guide who has been there, found recovery, and wants to give back to you.

HOPE helps you…

Work through issues commonly faced in early recovery
Identify healthy coping strategies
Strengthen your self-awareness by providing a safe place to talk through your thoughts and feelings

HOPE supports you with…

Guidance from your Certified Recover Mentor—in person, on the phone, or via email
Encouragement to set and reach goals and commitments each week
Overcoming obstacles to recovery, such as transportation to meetings or access to needed health care
A personalized recovery journey based on your strengths, talents, abilities, resources, and inherent values
